Okay so the JTAG I have had to be done with a donor NAND because of a very bad block. I have Xellous installed. Everything works as of right now. I am currently running Freeboot 12611 and I want to update to 12625. Is there anyway I can do this using my backups from Xellous (Keyvault.bin, Flash ect..) Please if you could provide a detailed answer I would appreciate it very much. Thanks guys.

*edit* My mobo is a xenon, drive is hitachi, if any of that matters.

Exactly why is that you want to update to 12625? Any specific reason?

Just get DashLaunch 2.11 for 12611 and install it. After installing it, you'll be able to play all new games which require a mandatory update to newer dash version e.g. Crysis2 etc.

Well that's good news, why is it that dashlaunch fixes that? Sorry for the questions I'm still learning :p

^ Since you are use a Jtag, you literally have control over your Xbox360.

DashLaunch is set of patches which when applied edit some portions of the Xbox360 internal System files. These patches could be regarding anything. In this case, DashLaunch contains a number of patches and is continuously being updated. The ability to run games which require a mandatory system update without updating is one of the newest patches and was released in DashLaunch v2.10. So, all you have to do now is to apply DashLaunch, and you will be good to go ;)

Oh and just incase anyone finds themselves in my situation, you can follow the update tutorial in this section, but just use an updflash from xellous instead of your original NAND. Worked great, I am on 12625 :D

so after all the explanation he gave you you STILL updated to 12625? You realize that dash launch doesn't work with 12625 yet right? So you can't boot directly into into FSD or anything.....

^ Well....I tried...

By the way, I don't think that he even knows that he can boot into a Homebrew of his choice when starts his Jtag....Probably he doesn't also know what FSD2 is....

I appreciate the information, but I jtagged this box first and foremost to learn. So I need to try things, so when the time comes I'll know how to do it. Plus I'm not that lazy I don't mind waiting for a dashlaunch update and launching freestyle myself for a little while. Thaanks.
