I was cleaning up my hard drive a bit and I accidentally deleted my evoxdash.xbe file from my C:. Now it just loads into msdash instead of the wolfdash. What can I do to get back to my wolfdash?

do you have an x3..

then boot it under config live (hold down white button while booting)

and set up for ftp..
then just ftp missing files/evox back to C:

Yes I have a X3, and I have tried ftp'ing the evoxdash.xbe file. But all I end up with is evolutionX dashboard loading.

The problem is it loads into msdash, instead of the wolfdash it originally loaded into.

i'm confused...when you say wolf dash
The xbe u deleted is the evox dashboard
Where did u get the dash from originally can u give a url?

I do not know of a stand alone dash called wolf

after I installed the x3 and flashed the bios, it came up with a blue wolf dash, similar to the msdash but it is blue and it has a wolf that howls and growls . after I deleted the evoxdash.xbe file, when I rebooted, it just went to msdash.

Yes its similar to the msdash skins, but much larger in size then they are. It appears to be its own dash. It is on the c: as {wolfxdashdir.10027100} it has 2 folders, 23 files, 25 total {40.66MB}. It has its own data files like the {xboxdashdata.185ead00} 24 files, 24 total {41.28MB} which is right below it on the c:.
I did look through all the msdash skins, did not find the wolfdash I have.

ok...never heard of it but we live and learn heh?

if that is the case then it must have an xbe file either in the root of C: or in the wolfxdash folder.

If so make a note of its name..

then boot x3 into config live (hold down white button while booting)

X3 config Live <press A>
Customize X3 Bios <press A>
Dashboard Filenames <press A>
Edit one of the names and insert the name of the wolf xbe file <press Y to store when complete>
Then Press B and go up one to
Xbox Boot Priority<press A>
Select the wolf dash by highlighting and pressing A...move it to the top and press A to save...

Reboot Xbox

just thought..... the dash was prob not written with x3 config live in mind (where u can boot any given filename)

Therefore it was probably renamed to evoxdash.xbe so presume its gone from the xbox completly...

where did u get it from i would like to check it out..

I've tried to google it a million different ways but cannot find anything

well I found the config.xbx file for it on c:. as for finding the .xbe , it is not in the {wolfxdashdir}. I didnt get it from anywhere in particular, I got my x3 from system-mods a few weeks ago, also got a hd from them, it may be possible that they put it on there.

It is strange how there is not one bit of anything about it anywhere. It works really well, had no problems with it, until I deleted the .xbe. I didnt realize the evoxdash.xbe was for it, or I wouldnt have deleted it. Like a moron I really should of made a copy but it was too late after hitting the delete.
