Need some assistance flashing my Xecuter 2.6CE Please!!!

Hi all,

This is the first time I've moded my 1.6 Xbox with an Xecuter 2.6 and Xapter 1.6 kit. Everything went fine, but using Bank 1, I flashed it with X2_4977.bin that I got from Xbins. Now I get a FRAG screen when using bank 1. I can boot to the Flashbios 3.0.3 using Bank 2 however. I should be able to use a spare moded xbox to re-flash that bank. By installing it onto that xbox and simply turning the bios on once I boot to evolution X...then use the flash tools from evolution-x no?

Also which bios should I be looking for to run/install a custome dash (like Avalanch (unsigned code)? Where can I get a version of the original bios I just killed? Having an Xecuter 2.6 CE chip, should shouldn't I be able to run a bios found under the "X2" folder under Bios on XBINS?

Mate, I have no idea where you find the information to load x2_4977 from but if you look around a bit in this forum, you'll find that the latest and most recommended BIOS is X2_5035. In your case, since you hvae v1.6 xbox, you'll need X2_5035_Plus. This version is compatible with v1.6 and v1.6b xbox. Good luck and I remember reading somewhere in the forum that flashing BIOS to X2 would ALWAYS end up in Bank1. Also make sure that you'll have a 512KB BIOS and not 1024KB BIOS. 512KB is what X2_5035_Plus is and it will fill up the entire Bank1 leaving you Bank2 free.

I got Evolution-X and Xecuter folders mixed up on XBINS....it can get confusing for a first timer like myself you know! But THANK YOU very much for your information as you've fixed my problem! I'm now currently installing ALL of the dashboards using "Ultimate Boot CD 4.0". Anyhow...thanks a million for your help. This was the only snag I ran into from installing a mod chip to installing a dashboard. All first for me tonight...not bad for 2 and half hours :)

I would like to point out that X2_5035 or X2_5035_Plus is not on xbins at all so where you got yours from i really dont know
