need some help with 7.0.1

my emunand is 6.2

could i update my OFW to 7.0.1 to use online and still use my emunand?

you could if you want to play online with ofw, but keep in mind there is currently no cfw that works on 7.0 or 7.0.1

Theoretically yes, you could. Some users have reported that only the hidden partition emunand works with 2.5.3 though. Not sure if you can convert SD files to a hidden partition or what trouble that might cause if it messes up.

In my opinion it would be better to wait if you want to keep running CFW. Since you're on 4.1 anyways you must not have been playing online for some time. Once you burn your fuses upgrading to 7.0.1 it will be a huge pain if emunand doesn't work and you will basically have to wait anyways.

okay i will wait, i also have another switch which i updated to 7.0.0 and downgraded it to 6.1.0 is there a reason why sx os wont boot up? i have tried boot.dat from 2.5.3 also and still black screen when i boot into cfw from sx os boot menu
i will try the hidden emunand, right now the emunand is sd files

Did you update your sysnand to 7.0? If so, that's probably why it won't boot. That also burned your fuses to 7.0 and then won't allow lower OFW version to boot anymore.

No you can't. You'll be prompted to update.

I have not tried the hidden partition type emunand.
But I can confirm that the SD file type emunand(6.1 or 6.2) is working with OFW 7.0 with SX 2.5.3 stable.
I performed this procedure for at least 10 switches.
(I have provided downgrading services for my customers who has no nand backup and accidentally upgraded to 7.0)

Downgrading is not recommended.

Also only VIP are allowed to offer modding services here. I will leave it up, but advise nobody to do it. v7.0.1 support is right around the corner. Just be patient.
