Hi there.

I've just acquired an xbox360 core system. I've followed textbook's video and figured out how to open my xbox360. Right now it's all open, connected to my computer, and I have it booting off the flash drive into the FW program(windows 98 DOS mode)

Basically the problem i'm having is that now it will not find the SATA drive. Somehow, it finds four IDE drives. I don't have any IDE drives connected at the time.

I double checked and made sure I have the correct FW so that doesn't seem to be the problem. Any tips are appreciated.

Edit: Forgot to clarify. I'm using the Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943A MS28 drive.

IT's more than likley your motherboards SATA chipset as you need a VIA SATA chipset to flash an ms28 or you can follow textbooks tutorial for the VCC method if your confident at soldering (not recomended)

or buy a VIA vt6421A or VIA vt6421L SATA PCI card see link for details

Alright thanks. I'm running a Gigabyte 915P GA-81915P board and I was pretty sure the tutorial said it would work. I'll try to see if I can find a card anytime soon.

Thanks for the help.
