i have a lovely new 360e but would like to play my backed up games in it.
where can i find the thread telling me if this is doable?
i tried searching but none of the posts matched to what i needed.

Yes, it's do-able. You will need to RGH the console and recover the DVD key from the nand. Then you will need a replacement unlocked PCB for your drive to flash your key and modded firmware to. Then you install the PCB to your drive and you can read backups. This can all be a big difficult and costly process if you have never attempted anything like this or have no knowledge on it. I would recommend sending it to someone to have done, it will save you money and be super easy
