Subject: I need to speak to someone ASAP please
Hi there.
First of all, please forgive me. Due to a big misunderstanding, I have been banned from the Team Xecuter forums, my IP address has been blocked and I have been placed on your customer avoidance list and this email address is the ONLY way I can find to try and talk to you about it.
There has been a massive mistake, I think I have been mistaken for somebody else and I would like the opportunity to explain my side of the story in the hope of resolving this unfortunate matter.
My name is David Sloane, I live in the UK, I work full time in IT and have a sideline / hobby business repairing phones and tablets. I am very new to the whole console modding scene. I started looking into it earlier this year when you announced your new CR4 XL chip. I have been repairing mobile phones and tablets for people for a while, but not consoles before.
In June this year, I pre-ordered the CR4 XL through an approved reseller for the UK - MrConsoles. On Friday October 31[SUP]st[/SUP] 2014 I was notified by MrConsoles that all pre orders were being packed and shipped that very weekend, and all would be clear by the Monday or Tuesday (November 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] / 4[SUP]th[/SUP]).
Like many others I was excited to be finally getting my hands on it so I could start my learning. I figured now that xbox360 are available cheaply I can use them to practice everything from soldering techniques to installing modchips and flashing software, so that once we have a good solid product for Xbox One I will be ready to hit the ground running.
But several days later and my order was still awaiting packaging. Whilst your Team Xecuter forum was buzzing with people who already had got their hands on the CR4, I was still waiting for mine to even be dispatched. I started getting a little impatient and started looking at other websites for it. I looked at XConsoles first, however after adding a few items to the cart, I used the shipping estimator and I swear at the time it came out at $49.99 to the UK - and I tried it on more than one occasion and got the same result. I do see now that it is $14.99, but I am convinced that when I checked last week it was much higher - either way, it was my error. Thinking it was too expensive for me, I had a look at
ck3.co.uk and this appears to be where the problem has started. After reading in the TX forums that you can send a request to be upgraded to VIP at ck3, I opened a support ticket with them requesting VIP. They responded within an hour and approved my request. I could see the CR4 and other related products and began putting a list of items together (I wanted a DemoN and some QSB kits aswell as just the CR4). After placing 2 separate orders successfully I sat back and waited for them to be dispatched. At this point I was really impressed with CK3.
But after a couple of days I hadn’t heard anything, so I logged into my account and noticed my orders were in ‘Pre-order’ status. I was a bit confused because each item I had ordered had stated they had numbers in stock on their respective item pages. So I opened a new ticket in the support section to ask about it.
This is where everything started to go wrong. When I opened my first ticket - the one requesting VIP access, I received an email with a ticket number. I also received updates when ck3 responded to that ticket. I therefore fully expected the same thing to happen with this new ticket I had submitted about my order. But it didn’t. I didn’t receive a confirmation email with the new ticket number. I also didn’t receive an email to tell me they had responded to it.
When you try to log in to the ck3 support site, it asks for the ticket number of the ticket you are checking up on. Since I never received an email, I didn’t have a ticket number for it, so I couldn’t log in. After a day of hearing nothing, I assumed that maybe something had gone wrong and that the support system never created my ticket - so I opened up another ticket. But the same thing happened again - no email at all. This time though, I noticed that my VIP access had also been revoked and now the 2 orders had been cancelled - again without any notification by email or anything. I was confused and frustrated because I hadn’t heard anything about it, no emails, nothing so I felt that ck3 were ignoring me and messing me about (I know now that this wasn’t the case, but I didn’t at the time). So being the idiot that I am, I opened up yet another support ticket, only this time I let my emotions get the better of me and I think I accused them of poor customer support and ignoring me. I know I shouldn’t have got angry, I’m an idiot, but at the time that is exactly how it felt.
Yet again though, for the third time now - no email with the ticket number and no emails to notify me of any responses.
So at that moment in time, I felt like MrConsoles were dragging their heels with my pre-order, the shipping seemed excessive from xconsoles and ck3 were being jerks. You can surely see why I felt frustrated?
So then I tried ModSupplier. Not ideal because they are all the way over in Australia and I live in the UK but they had stock and I was able to order products from them. So I created an account and then placed an order with them but was annoyed that I’d had to go so far out just to get my hands on your fantastic products. It is at that moment that I posted the comment on the TX forums about how hard it seems to get your products if you live in the UK- the one which appears to have been completely misunderstood by yourselves. I have attatched a screen grab for reference.
Anyway, I then suddenly remembered that I did have a support ticket number for the very first ticket I’d submitted at CK3 - the one when I first requested VIP access. I wondered if I could login to that ticket and add a message to that one. So I did exactly that, I was able to login for the first time throughout this whole incident. I saw that the ticket was closed, but that I could re-open it by adding a message. So once again I enquired about my order, why it was cancelled without notice, why my VIP access was revoked, why were they ignoring me. This time, I did get an email to tell me they’d responded - finally! When I checked the response it was very short - something along the lines of “again… check your other tickets”. This seemed like a strange response at first - but it made me realise that they must have received my other tickets - so why no emails? And how could I check them, when I didn’t know the ticket numbers?
Then at that moment I noticed in the top right corner of the screen it said something like “Tickets (4)”. I clicked on it and there they all were. I felt like such a douche! All this time, I just needed to login with my ORIGINAL support ticket and all the others were there! Why on earth does CK3 website not tell you that? If I had known that, this whole mess would never have happened.
Anyway, realising I was partially at fault for not understanding how the support ticket system works, I desperately tried to send them a final message explaining that it had all been a HUGE misunderstanding. I apologised unreservedly and tried to explain that I’d not realised how the support system works (it still isn’t explained very well) but they would not listen.
It was also at this point that I tried to come back to the TX forum where I had posted that message, to explain the misunderstanding and ask a mod to kindly remove my post - but I couldn’t access the forum - it was like it had gone down or was experiencing difficulties - I know now that you banned my IP address - but at the time I didn’t - I just thought typical - I’ve made a mistake and I can’t get back to the forum to let people know it was a misunderstanding - so frustrating.
At this point I accepted that I had probably lost my access to CK3 - they were clearly fed up with me and are not very understanding towards their customers. It was a very simple misunderstanding, very easy mistake that anybody could have made.
But it’s what happened next that has really upset me. MrConsoles, were finally about to ship my pre-order from way back in June, when they cancelled it at the very last minute with a message saying I was on your avoidance list with a very STRICT do not sell to advice. I am completely shocked - I didn’t even know you had an avoidance list, and I certainly didn’t expect to be put on it because of a tiny misunderstanding with one website. That’s plain ridiculous!
This was Monday. On Tuesday I began trying desperately to contact approved TX resellers, thinking they might be able to contact yourselves on my behalf because all I wanted to do was clear my name and I still couldn’t access the forums to speak to anybody about it. I still thought that your website was down at that point. XConsoles just said that it was a matter between you and myself, there was nothing they could do. I also apologised to XConsoles for posting in the forum that their shipping was too high - it was an honest mistake. But it was ModSupplier who finally made me realise just how serious this incident is… they suggested that my IP address may be blocked, and that’s why the forums wouldn’t load. They were also very shocked at you accusing me of being a paid crony of theirs given that I have only signed up last week and placed my very first order - I’d never even spoken to them before. They also perform very strict fraud checks for UK orders and they told me that anybody could see I was using my real details, that a fraudster would not do that and that I am quite clearly not a fraudster. I had no idea what they were talking about when they mentioned me being accused of being a paid crony - I was like WTF, where have you heard that? and I thought the idea that my IP address was blocked was a bit extreme, but I tested it by visiting the forum yesterday morning with a different computer. I couldn’t believe it, turns out you have banned my IP address too!
But worse than that, I went back to my message that I had posted last week, and as the attatched screen grab shows, you have accused me of being a known chargeback scammer, who uses multiple accounts, and a paid crony of mod supplier?!?!?! WHAT? HOW on EARTH have you come to that conclusion?????
How has a simple misunderstanding with the support system of
ck3.co.uk got me accused of all this? You are accusing me of being a criminal - you have no idea how upsetting and hurtful that is. I have only ever had one account with you guys - DSRepairGuy - I am a complete noob to everything and I have never been banned from anything in my life - and certainly never done anything criminal or unlawful. This is a truly ridiculous accusation, and when I fell out with CK3 I never ever expected something like this to happen.
I always use my real name on orders - David Sloane, I always use the same billing and delivery addresses, my contact details are publicly available on the internet - what kind of fraudster would place orders using their real details?
I have no affiliation with ModSupplier other than the fact that they were the site I was finally able to order products from at a price I could afford. I am not paid by them to do anything.
I don’t know why I thought the shipping from xconsoles was expensive, I’m convinced it was coming out at $49.99 when I tried but it definitely is $14.99 now so that is an error for which I greatly apologize - but that’s all it is - a simple error.
And chargebacks? I’ve only just started ordering TX products and never had a chargeback, ever.
As for ck3 - they have blocked my access even to their support so I can’t talk to them about it. It really has all been a shocking experience for me
I am begging you to realise that I am just a ‘Noob’ who is interested in getting into console mods and using your products. I have only one account I promise you that, I don’t know which other accounts you are mistaking me for but they aren’t me. I am DSRepairGuy, real name David Sloane. I even have a website -
www.dsrepairguy.com - and I have never hidden behind any false aliases or anything. And I think I’ve only made about 5 posts on the forums in the whole time I’ve been a member, I certainly haven’t been spouting any ‘bullshit’ that you accused me of.
Please accept my sincerest apologies for any misunderstandings that have been caused and un-ban my account and IP address. Please remove me from your avoidance list, and if at all possible please try and explain to the guys at CK3 that it’s been a big mistake.
I have been a very big fan of your work this year, the guides and help available on the forums are second to none. Please don’t ban me from all the good stuff because of this silly misunderstanding.
I thank you for your understanding in this matter. And apologies for such a long email but I really felt it necessary to try explain my side of the story.
If you wish to speak to me about anything relating to this matter please get in touch.
Thank you,
Kind regards,
David Sloane
