JUNGLE FLASHER Need to have VIA 6421A PCI?

Hello,

Do I need the VIA 6421A PCI card to flash my xbox 360 phat liteon drive?

I have sata connections on my motherboard...

I have no PCI sockets :S

You can try with your onboard chipset, but a VIA 6421 PCI card will work.

However, the X360USB Pro is the best and most compatible option.

I have actually ordered the Via 6421A before I checked if I had the PCI sockets xD

I thought almost all "new" PC had them

Anyway, what is the chance of my onboard chipset actually detecting the drive?
Anything I need to download or anything?

You should first turn AHCI mode off in your BIOS. There is no computed percentage of the change you'll have a compatible card. Just try it and see if it works. My onboard sata ports in my mobo worked fine out of the box so I was lucky. Also, if your computer turns on and reads data, there is no need to install drivers.

What's so hard?
I mean, the diffrent between Sata card vs X360 pro.

Other than drivers etc..

I have the NVIDIA GeForce 9100 chipset, so not sure if it will work.

The X360USB Pro was designed for this exact purpose (drive flashing).

JungleFlasher isn't able to inquire on certain chipsets, but it works with the X360USB Pro flawlessly.

So what your saying is that Jungleflasher only works with certain chipset's, and that the X360 Usb pro have the correct one?

I was about to order the X360 USB Pro but it got to expensive for me

You cannot use a Via Card with your system, No PCI Slots. You'll need a Usbpro + CK3( for power) and a probe 3. Or a Usbpro v2 + probe3. So your gonna have to spend some money if you want to flash it yourself. And read the jungleflasher tutorial throughly.

I ordered the VIA card BEFORE I knew that my motherboard didn't have PCI slots...Genious huh?

I have access to some other computers with PCI slots, so I will be fine. Also I have ordered the CK3 Mini, I'm just going to make the Probe for key extraction
