OK.. so i recently bought a broken xbox ; that the drive didnt work, for 40 bucks why? cus im cheap...
So i decided to take my DVD drive out of my Old xbox and put in my new xbox
but nooo Microsoft had to have a special serial for each motherboard/drive
soooo my problem is

How do i Flash Or rewire (solder)
My Philips Code or Chipset into my hitachi drive.

my goal is

For a General guide or full guide
on how to Flash the philips code
onto the hitachi drive so its
compatible with my xbox so it reads disk
and doesnt get me banned
im not looking for any mod
but just a simple Fix this

REASON this is nub question is i cannot absolutely cannot find a
Good video Showing Step by step how to flash it..

Like i said i dont want mods just a fix..

And BTW I have a budget of 0$ and I dont have the ck3 helping tool

what i was thinking is leaving xbox on. plugged in with power port
then use sata to plug into computer and that should work? and
download key from philip drive then hook up hitachi and upload?
would this work.. or would ineed to "Spoof" it?

First off, Whats a Philips drive, there are 4 drives in total that seperare into different models, Liteon, Benq, Samsung and Hit... So what drive, what model? need know this...
But If its a Sam, Benq or Hit then you can Use your xbox to power drive with sata from PC to drive, using Jungleflasher get the key from the drive..
Spoof this \Key onto another drive and your back playing games, but not 100% safe online because its spoofed..
If its a Liteon without a Ck3 and probe you can't get key off most liteon Models..

What i'd recommend if the Drive is Broke, get another drive of the Same type, Take the drive apart and The Main Board inside the drive, Take it out and put it into a working drive, Simple...

Well mate, Spoffing a drive might get you banned But so does modding your console, If its a Benq then download Jungle flasher, Goto the Documents folder and open the JFtut.pdf in there, it will explain everything step by step, even using console to power drive...

So i abandoned the idea of flashing the drive and just Moved the X Clamp fix from new Xbox with broken drive to my Old mother boardd And I got RROD. So i Over heated it with a hair dryer.. and now i can stay online xbox live in lobby for ever.. But as soon as i hit A on the Start Game w.e like 2-10 seconds It gives me over heating... And its not
hardware issue cus once i restart xbox it goes back to the Reset screen were it says please dont block ventilation system or fans. And press a to continue to dashbored..
( like if you were to purposly over heat it )....

Any ideas on this ^_^? Hoping for fast reply MW3 in 4 hours :(

You're going to have to do some research on the forums and study some tutorials if you want to fix your console the right way. There are some things that you just can't rush.

If you are in a big hurry, you are better off just buying a console that works.

Good luck!

Ok Thanks, But... I Meen I have had it to the point were i could play WAW Orignal first zombies for 50 Seconds, But i reopened and removed units and added little bit more thermal paste to the GFX Unit. Now i cant get past the 2 E74 error.. And if i tighten it it goes to rrod (Short circut).

So i was just looking for suggestions

Quit being so cheap and buy a good used or new unit! After all the trouble you have gone through I would say that console isn't worth the time or effort. You tried at least and sometimes that is all you can do.
