1st what is wrong with your current drive ? open tray errors that a simple laser replacement

It could also be the spindle, or motor. The laser seems to read fine as long as the disk is spinning. I hear grinding and skipping noises whenever it tries to read games or dvds.

lol all you had to do was be polite and pm him and when he comes on hell give you a shout. its not like hes gonna deny ever receiving a drive. hes probably got a load of them anyway and hes a reputable guy.

politeness will get you everywhere, bad attitude would get the drive posted back unfixed if it was me.

I'm not really trying to give an additude. I'm actually just worried about the shipment itself. I forgot to bubble wrap one side, had to hand write the address, and USPS has been giving details late for the tracking. Its also the first time I've ever shipped something, so I should be concerned at least. I've been kind to him the whole time, and appreciate his service.

I did PM him, but when I did PM him, it said he was online so I expected a response like always. But for some reason he was actually offline. I haven't been impolite, I told him how much I appreciate his service, and suggested I pay with cash even though he said it was free, and I would still pay. I know he is reputable, or else why I would I risk giving him my entire xbox with dummy.bin file. Just making sure is all. I don't believe he would deny receiving the drive, I just wanted to see if the package was delivered to him, in the similar condition as I shipped it.

ya it's all fixed up and will ship out Monday via FedEx the drive was fine it was a bad laser just as i told you when i replied to the pm

yes it might show me online since i never turn off my pc, sometimes when i get tired i just lock it get up and walk away don't bother to close any windows or nothing

i have a boat load of work and a full time job 6am - 5pm repair at night 6pm until ? wee hours of the morning average 4-5 hrs of sleep a night so if i don't get back to you right away i'm not ignoring you i'm just not sitting at my pc
