Netflix unlocked to Xbox Live Silver members this weekend

If you want to access Netflix on your Xbox 360, usually you need both a Netflix subscription and Xbox Live Gold membership. Not so this weekend, during which the app is being made available to all Live users. Of course, you'll still need that ol' Netflix subscription, but the online streamer is nonetheless keen to get as many people watching its new original series House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey, which premieres today.

If adverts are more your bag (you crazy cat you) then, as Microsoft tells us, Hulu's Adzone can now be accessed on Xbox without a Hulu Plus subscription.
