Well it took 2 days to fix the X3CE into my 1.6 Crystal.
It has now taken 2 days to sort out what to do next

I know I have to replace flashbios3.0.1, I have been to xbins and got the new Bios, I burnt it onto disk but my drive, samsung, won't allow me to load it, I keep getting the 'Waiting for Drive" error. So now I want to connect via a network.

I have been trawling the forums at xbox-scene for help but no luck so far

I have the hub, a D-Link DFE-910,
the cables
a NIC in my laptop
I have given the laptop a static IPaddress
Set the Subnet Mask
Got stuck
spent 3 hours reading the TUTs and FAQs
Been refered to the Noobs guide many times
Read page after page of threads waiting for someones elses question to be answered

Now I have to ask

How do I load the new bios onto the xbox? most of the tutorials deal with networking problems after evox is installed, can i even load the new bios without burning it onto a disk of some sort? I need to get my PC to see the xbox at least.

I know, I know, go back and read the tutorials, just point me in the right direction to a specific tutorial at least, I can read and follow them, I just can't find 'em

Many thanks

I have Verizon DSL and they sent me a new wireless Router/DSL modem in one, which i hate. Now I'm having trouble connecting to my xbox, could it be my Zone alarm, or something else cause i can't connect to my Xbox wireless. I have the Xbox wireless adapter on my xbox, and when i had my Linksys i had no trouble connecting. any suggestions?

I did read them, very well written, the problem was in setting up a network, and their advice was to send me back to xbox-scene to read the tuts, eventually dumped the hub, bought a crossover, worked out how to set up an IP on the xbox turned off the default fire wall and went through Internet Explorer to load it up.

Much harder than it had any need to be but got there in the end.

Now if you can tell me how to load on a dashboard without making a boot disk I would be even more gratful

Dashboard files are available from xbins. They can be loaded like any other files if you can ftp.
