NETWORKING QUESTION?

I HAVE MY MODIFIED XBOX V1.0 WITH THE ORIGINAL HARDDRIVE IN IT AND AM USING PRO 3 SWITCH. I HAVE ACCESS TO A PENTIUM 2 WINDOWS 98 COMPUTER THAT IS CURRENTLY TIED INTO OUR HOME NETWORK WIRELESSLY. THIS PC IS ONLY 8 FEET AWAY FROM MY XBOX. CAN I RUN AN ETHERNET CABLE TO THE PC IF I BUY ANOTHER ETHERNET PORT TO SAVE ON DOWNLOADS ETC.? AND WOULD I HAVE TO BUY A STRAIGHT VS A CROSSOVER ETHERNET CABLE. AND FINALLY COULD I THEN RUN ANY GAMES ON THAT PC MONITOR? THANKS

Yes get a crossover cable and another network card for your PC.

The only way to play your xbox games on your PC monitor is to get an XGA box that will allow you to connect it directly to the monitor ... not to your PC.

You could get a capture card to actually play on your PC...but that's spendy

I need Help

my xbox 360 was flashing e71 so i cleared cache and downloaded the newest update and installed it on my system, then connected to live and it downloaded a couple more updates, no i get no rings at all and when i get to the dash board after a min or 2 it will freeze it i start a game it will freeze so i dont know what to do. i have done the 12v fan mod.

well it did have the red rings but only the one and said e71, now after restarting and freezes alot. it finally threw me a red light but no code on screen so i did the secondary code check and got 1033 as a code.

you need to do a RROD fix

often this means replacing the xclamp hardware and thermal paste
