Okay, since no one responded to my last post, i'll try again, only this time with more details and more precise questions.

Xbox version 1.6
Xecuter 3 mod chip installed and working
Flashed the bios with the appropriate X3 bios for v1.6 with a DVD-R
Xbox booted to the bios successfully--Xecuter ROX MY BOX--
Made no changes to the X3 bios setup
Edited the evox.ini file for a crossover cable connection as per stickie:

[Network]
SetupNetwork = Yes
StaticIP = No
Ip = 192.168.100.10
Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway = 192.168.100.1
DNS1 = 0.0.0.0
DNS2 = 0.0.0.0

Created the Evolution-X dashboard boot disk with a DVD-R
Booted and loaded the Evox dashboard
Connected the crossover cable to my PC's NIC
I set my computer IP to 192.168.100.9, and defaultgateway to 192.168.100.1

Here is where I got stuck: FlashFXP won't connect. I tried anonymous user, tried xbox for user and xbox for password, tried X3 for user and X3 for password and still no luck. (Do i need to change the password in Evox.ini to the X3 Bios default password: X3??)

When i go to System Utils>Settings in the Evox menu, no IP appears in the upper part(blue section) of the display. Like:

Type
IP 0.0.0.0
Line Status 100/Full Duplex

On my computer side the network connection is working. I'm even getting flashing on the NIC light.

Do I need to make any adjustments to my IP configuration, or to the X3 bios?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well it depends on what your using but if u try both X3 bios to connect through ftp or evox to ftp into the xbox... make SURE DHCP is DISABLED.

i can already see based on the info u provided above that DHCP is still enabled since where it says "StaticIP = No" .... u want this to YES.

other than this it looks like u did everything perfect from looking at the info u provided ;)

the default password for the x3 config live bios, if your using it's ftp is "x3" for username/password.

the default password for evox is "xbox" for username/password.

good luck ;)

Stickie Wrong and Evolution-X to copy HD info

In the stickie by Xecuter it says to set StaticIP=No if using a crossover cable. So I am really confused now. Maybe someone needs to fix this in the Stickie ?

Also, can I use either the X3 bios or the Evolution-x dashboard to copy HD to the PC? I was under the impression that you had to do this via Evolution-x dashboard.

nevermind, figured it out, now it all makes sense. These forums are not clear at all.
You gotta be kidding.
