My 8gb hard drive died. So I thought it was a good time to MOD my XBox Ver1.1
I installed the Xecuter 2.6 CE and a 120gb HDD. The MODchip works it has flashBios 3.0.1 in bank 1 and 3.0.3 in bank 2. When I try to load bios from HDD it shows Unknown drive. what do I do to prepair the new HDD to work in the Xbox?

you can't flash a bios from the hdd if the hdd is not setup

flash a bios another way (http, cd/dvd)

then you can prepare your hdd after you've got a hacked bios on your chip

Thanks
It seems that the Thomson DVD is a little picky what it'll read when you try to load the bios from a CD-R or CD-RW. I read a fix for that in hear.

It is very unlikely you will get a Thomson to read a CD-R. However, I have a Thomson drive, and it reads an Imation 650 meg CD-RW burned at 4x. Try putting a dummy file on the cd.

I agree with Martin C on flashing over the local network, makes it much easier IMO.

I wish it was that easy with the PS2 cause I have a warn out CD/DVD drive in it takes a couple tries and BIOS resets to get it to load a BIOS on it (F that whole Xploit thing).
