New 2.6 CE solderless install

Installed my modchip about 2 years ago, neighbour asked me to do his I said no go get it softmodded, well buddy who did his softmod f***ed it up, boots into evox but wont launch games, plays dvd movies but not games... so I told my neighbour I'd install his modchip, he ordered a 2.6CE woth the spider(I think) 1.6 solderless adapter. Okay longtime since I di this, where to start... I need a bios correct for his v1.6 xbox that needs to be flashed yes?... ok wait all I need to know are the steps
1. install modchip
2. flash bios
3. install avalaunch/evox etc...
is this correct? sorry for being a newb all over again.

ok, never mind discovered while reading, is there some info on how to switch bankss and how to flash different ones.. ie what are the switch combos to get bank 1 2 etc. , forgive me, you want to flash the bios to a bank, should it be to the bank you boot in? ...sorry for dumb questions
