new 2.6ce fitted

Help needed, have fitted a 2.6ce in a v1.6 box, have used bios 5053v1.6 in banks 1&2, & 3.03 in banks 3,4. everything works with the chip enable but when i disable the chip it frags any help would useful

yes the error code is 05 in white top left of screen

go into flashbios and lock your hard drive

set switch so it boots into flashbios once in there there is a option "lock harddrive" hilite and push A it may ask if you wish to do this say yes

That is a general dashboard error. Link to error codes is in my sig. What else has been done to this Xbox? Are you booting to the Microsoft dash with the chip?

have reflashed the bios, have reinstalled ms dashboard, which now works without chip enabled, turn chip on still get the ms dashboard. installed evox aid 2.5, chip works but get i switch back to chip disable i get frag error code,would be down to the bigger harddrive i have also fitted

First you say the Microsoft dash works with the chip disabled, then you say it frags with the chip disabled? I don't get it.

get newer AID3 download you are puting a older dash on to newer xbox this is why you get error

Thanks everyone i have now sorted it, flashed with 5035 1.6v and installed evox 2.6 now works a treat.
