I flashed the new 3029 BIOS onto my 1234 bank and it boots up as the 2914 build...and even says that after I flash it. Could there have been a problem with where I usually get my files? Just curious...no biggy.

Try disabling the protect before you flash. You'll get a 'flash success' message but it won't have done a thing (and thus will boot to your old 2914 BIOS).

I flashed the 1234 bank and rebooted to that bios through x3 cl. It still didnt do it (booted to 2914). Maybe I should flash the main BIOS? Actually, I think the 2914 is fine, it just doesnt read my dvd player correctly (big whoop).

yes, for banks 5678 you need to have your cp off on off off. You can ftp the new bios to your harddrive and flash bios from harddrive.
