I flashed the new 3029 BIOS onto my 1234 bank and it boots up as the 2914 build...and even says that after I flash it. Could there have been a problem with where I usually get my files? Just curious...no biggy.
Try disabling the protect before you flash. You'll get a 'flash success' message but it won't have done a thing (and thus will boot to your old 2914 BIOS).
After you flash your BIOS it will still report as 2914 until you reboot your box I flashed mine last night with no problems and got the file from the 'usual' places
I flashed the 1234 bank and rebooted to that bios through x3 cl. It still didnt do it (booted to 2914). Maybe I should flash the main BIOS? Actually, I think the 2914 is fine, it just doesnt read my dvd player correctly (big whoop).
flashed mine last nite, worked fine, apart from i couldnt flash to banks 5678, dunno why was trying a network flash, i have a Xbox CP and used 3/4 buttons with chip unprotected, got 1 third way thru and just sat there for about 3 quarters of a hour... so i reflashed my 1234 bank and it worked fine.....
lol im using the x3 cp.... only has buttons 1-4, or do u mean on the x3 cp it should be off on off off .... now im confused...., if i used the web method would that do the trick, this way i have a spare bios which i can use if needed, still a noob at this
