Hello to all of you.
On Black Friday I bought an XBOX 360 Slim with 250GB HDD. I had an 1Month free Gold pass and it was a nice experience, but before buying another 12month pass, I want to discuss about modding.

After some reading, I concluded that the best solution for me will be Demon + Slim Proto V2, because I don't want to get banned from Live, as I do have some Multiplayer games that I've bought, but also I want to be able to run another games that don't require online multiplay such as split screen games or similar.

I have really good skills in soldering and also special tools for that. As I am from Romania, it would take some time for chips to arrive, so I will need a little help from you guys, to tell me exactly what I need to order, including the special tools.

Before that, I want to mention the info's from my console: MFR Date: 2013-01-28 , Model 1439, Power:12V 9,6A and 5V 1A.
How can I find what motherboard I have without opening the case (considering it's under 2y warrany) ? I'm not 100% sure I will do the mod ...

I'm waiting for some answers, as I am beginner in gaming consoles.

You should buy a Slim Proto V2 and an Xecuter DemoN.

You may also need to purchase a POST Fix adapter if the console doesn't have POST_OUT - read this for more information.

Just out of curiously and trying to learn something every day, but isn't that mfr date quite sure that post out will be missing?

You can't be 100% sure, only when you check.
Ok, I really was in the understanding that m$ had it removed after a specific date, but that those consoles around that date could still have it or miss it. (like some corona v2 had it missing) I don't know why, but the year 2012 kept floating in my mind with this. Ok good to know,

I think, just to be sure I will order the postfix adapter (for only 12 ~ 13$).
Am I allowed to post the website from wich I want to order? Or can you tell me one with good prices that ships in Europe ?

Also, I am stuck in details like:
- CPU_RST wire. Can I use an good quality audio shielded wire? Or an simple wire will do the same thing?
- As I read from several threads, after installing the slim proto board, do I need a special programmer to rewrite the NAND memory? or If using DEMON, this thing would be done through its micro-USB cable, as I would leave the original NAND untouched?
- all DEMON boards include the flex cables and back board with led/switch?

Get the postfix adapter, Arctic silver #5(Thermal Compound), demon, xclamp removal tool, and slim proto v2. Make sure you have a nice soldering iron(Radio Shack 15 watt will work, but isnt the best). and lots of flux. assuming you have the right screw drivers, and soldering equipment/experience, then you should be able to pull this off without a hitch.

Demon(Carona V1/V3/V5) Install Guide: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97468

Xclamp tool, self explanitory. For removing heat sync, to check post out/install post fix.

Thank you. So, my order would be:

1. Xecuter Corona Postfic Adapter TX - 12,5 $
2. Xecuter Demon Slim 360 Dual Nand - 59,5 $
3. Xecuter X-Clamp Removal Tool - 9$
4. Xecuter Slim Proto v2 TX - 35,5 $

For further upgrades on Slim Proto v2 should I buy an extra programmer? What programmer? If the mod is succesfull, it would be necesarly to update in future?
Are the prices ok? Or should I look for another store?

As for Soldering, I have almost an professional "setup" :). Thermal compound should be easy to find at almost any specialized store.

that is all you will need for one console, as far as hardware goes. You could also get a jrp-v2, (Nand reader, not neaded with demon, but is needed for sonus mod(Custom Button Noises.).), and for the carona 4gb models the 4gb rw kit. then you would have what you need to read the nand on all consoles. I wouldnt buy this stuff unless you plan on doing multiple consoles. If you want to do the sonus mod the jrp-v2 will also be needed, and possibly an upgraded speaker.

I had to buy a jr programmer anyway because i bought the sonus kit. So could i still use it to get the nand dumps?

Yes definitely. I always take a few minutes extra time to first read the NAND with a NAND x reader or jr programmer before I do anything. In the case I screw something up, at least I have two clean nands stored somewhere save.

Then I start soldering the DemoN and write the original NAND to the DemoN to see if the Xbox boots normal on the DemoN side, so I know I've installed the DemoN thoroughly. Then continue installing proto etc.
