Hi guys just got my son a new 4gb xbox360, i have not opened the box,the last 4 digits of the serial number is:2809 and the lot number is:1128x, does anybody know if this can be modded and not be the dreaded Hitachi.Thanks for any help,i have used the search but am i a little stuck on this one.

I have 7 xboxs 4gb all lot 1132x, there all winbond DG-16D4S, and rghable. hitachis are very rare i think its more likely to get the new DG-16D4S.
So do you think this one will be ok to flash, if it is i will open box and post results,thanks again.
I know that, but there a rough guide on how to tell what drive you got,i have not been able to work mine out, thats why i am asking the more knowledgable guys on here for there opinion.Thanks for trying though.
I know but it would be good to have a rough idea,before opening and i know the guide is not 100% foolproof.

There really isnt any way to know for sure unless you pop it open.
And if your that worried about whether you have a Liteon or Hitachi you can tell which one it is by looking at the tray

I just did 4 lot numer 1122 and the guide says lot numers that has 11?? Will be 0225 drives and that what I been going on so yours is 1123 so the first is 11 and the other two numbers will change

Hi, I just bought an Xbox 360 4GB slim with Kinect last week with lot #1132x, manufacture date 2011-07-31, and power supply 12v 9.6a and dashboard 2.0.12625.0. From the reading I've done it seems it has a Corona Motherboard and a lite-on drive 0225 (not sure). Just wanted to know if I do a backup of my games will it run my backups? Or do i need some sort of custom firmware or mod?
You need to do a lot of reading son. But as of now Coronas are un RGHable. If you do have liteon drive 0225 1071 then you can flash it

drive needs to be flashed with cfw first before it plays your back ups.
also you best of doing the new update before you think about flashin your drive.

I'm almost certain you have the trinity motherboard. Look at the back of the console, what is the power rating? (It can be found on the back sticker on the bottom left. I've had a console from 9/09 still be a trinity. So do not assume it's the corona because of PSU, be cause even my new 4gb slim has the 9a psu, but the back of the console says 10a.

CarolinaGamer, regarding the power supply rating if its the sticker in the middle above the "a/v" port the it says 12v - 10.83a; 5v-1a. If that is not the power rating please do excuse my newbness.
