Hey guys. I have searched and am not finding how to build the xbox file system on a 750gb drive. I have a 4gb slim and cannot write anything (xexmenu, fsd) to the "flash memory" and all of the other tutorials say you need to put xexmenu in folder "000000000"....well a new hdd wont have a folder like that so that's where I am confused. Thanks guys for the guidance!

But this is what the HDD should look like, should all of this be in the root folder?...Meaning I don't have to partition it?

Content Location: /partition3/content/0000000000000000/<TITLEID>/<OFFERID>/
Save Location: /partition3/content/<PROFILEID>/<TITLEID>/<OFFERID>/
Music Collection: /partition3/mindex/media/ - The Music files are simply .wma with a custom header.

The only OFFERID's that always remain the same are the ones assigned to themes/gamerpics/videos.
00020000 - Gamerpics
00030000 - Themes
00080000 "now 000D0000" - Demos
00090000 - Videos
00004000 - Game Installs
00000002 - Extra Content
00007000 - Games On Demand
000B0000 - Title Updates

Ok the drive should be in today. I think I've got alot better idea on what to do now. So first off let me say with the release of FSD v2.2 we now have access to the internal memory unit (4gb). That also will have a content folder, as well as games folder, ect... I will still need to make these same folders on HDD1:\

As a side point I went ahead and accessed the intMemory (4gb) and installed XeXmenu there. I will also install FSD on the inMemory so that way if I take my HDD out I can still boot into FSD/XEX. I'll post back with the results from adding the 750gb drive.

Freestyle dash 2.2 works just fine off both internal hdd and intmu. Xexmenu as well. 2.1 worked fine for me as well but some people had issues with it hanging or crashing. The release notes for FSD2.2 tell you that it has fixed any issues for intmu. You shouldn't have any problems imo.

umm FSD will run off internal HDD, USB and IntMu.

I found that multi-disc swapper wouldn't run from IntMu so copied to a USB drive instead, but that's by the by.

I haven't got to play with it yet, but it seems like it will be awesome! I'll keep this updated.

Ok, formatted to FAT32, copied all of my files to the hard drive, plugged it in usb and my slim sees the drive and all of the files. Plug it in the xbox internal HDD bay and it sees the drive both HDD1 and HDDX but nothing is present. Have you guys seen this before? It works fine over usb

yes, because the internal SATA supports FATx, not FAT32.

Thanks for the quick reply Martin.

Edit:

Ok it appears that I can't just format a 750gb hard drive and drop it in the internal SATA(??!!) like I thought I could. How are you guys getting your 1TB drives to work on the internal SATA and actually show 1TB?

But won't the NXE only recognize original xbox hard drives?

Will I really be able to format a non-xbox hard drive from NXE?

And if I can only use FATX for the internal hard drive, how am I supposed to run backup ISO's of 8GB or more from the internal drive? (FATX only supports 4096 megabytes per file, as I understand)

It does let you format in NXE, I did and it said 693gb available. Also I transfer iso over FTP or from one hdd to the Xbox.
