I am currently running the X3 chip with the 1959 Bios, I was thinking of thrying the most current Bios which is v2913 the question I have is do I flash it OVER the 1959 bios or what? I currently run the 1959 on banks 1-2-3-4 and am thinking of running the 2913 on banks 5-6-7-8 just in case it doesn't work out for me, Any ideas, suggestions???

Sounds good, just remember if the flash doesnt work you can always boot to the 256k backup by holding down the "on" button & "eject" button at the same time.

ok I'm doing the same thing except i just "upgraded" to a X3ce and have 1959 bios running on 1-4 (pro switch...)when i select 5-8 [off, off,on,on] (correct me if i'm wrong) the box turns on 3 times then frags. it does the same thing when i select 1-8 but its ok if i just select [off, off, off,on] and that boots to 3.0.3

Bank 1234: on on off off (Set to this when flashing first time with FlashBIOS)
Bank 5678: off on off off

Just because the light is out doesn't mean the switch is off for that switch. It depends on wether or not the switch is pushed in or out.

off-on-off-off is the right setting for 5-6-7-8 also I had to use an "original microsoft controller" to change the option to flash fro CD for some reason! after this I had success flashing the 5-6-7-8 on my chip!

I find it much easier to ftp into X3 Live and go into the admin folder and drop the bios into the bank i want to flash and it automatically flashes. No need for trying to figure out which switches should be on or off. !!!! I dont understand why you guys make it so tough on yourselves when Team Executer is trying to make it as easy as possible ???
