New Bios

OK Really bad humor on my part... but what the hell I dont think I have actually asked about the release to date so I will instead poke fun. We heard the Xenium crap but it was specifically for Xmas, but what about not mentioning a holiday.....


Twas the night before bios and all through the house,
The members were freaking and running thier mouths.
The topic reply was on all setup with care,
and the new mail notify was just waiting to blare.

When out of my bed I heard the chime sound,
I ran to my desktop and nearly fell down.
And when I check my mail to my eyes did appear,
A email titled "Bios update has been posted here".

I clicked and I waited despising the wait,
Wondering the gifts team x had decided to create.
When the page finally loaded my face got all smug,
"Sorry campers we're not releasing cause we found a bug!"

They did it again! Filled me up with hope,
Then called it off as a terrible joke.
Its not that I "cant do", Its what else I could
To build up thier hopes and smash em... no good.


My poetic skills are definately lacking, as obviously is my sense of humor

The XBOX uses a different file system called FATX that Win2k/XP won't read. I'm not sure if their is a way to get Win2k/XP to read this file system or not. Would it even be a good idea to defrag a file system that the defragger doesn't support, if it could be read in Win2k/XP.

I am about 90% certain that I read on Xbox-Scene that someone wrote FATX support for PC.

Whether that would let you run Defrag on the drive may be another story.

There was a program I used once when I tried my hand at a softmod. When I hot swaped the drive it let me see the partitions etc.

Since we are looking at control systems in a few guesses why not xbox/xecuter animation control system. I also like Xbox/xecuter integrated startup control. These guesses seem to be somewhat supported by various xecuter posts in the forums.

Oh and I guess we will have to wait until next week to see it, disappointing but I'm sure it will be worth that wait. Cheers teamx!

Still waiting patiently, had my chip since the preorders when they had all the delays. The chip was worth it, I certainly hope this incredibly hyped up bios update is worth it as well considering all the bullshit that has surrounded it. I can see the posts now "Man **** that, this sh*t aint tight" The longer they wait to release the worse the bitching is going to be about how much "it sucks" right after they release, especially if the new "marverlous feature" isn't something everybody will find extremely useful and simply amazing. Oh well...that's my short rant for the evening, just be patient guys and don't get all worked up, it's just a bios, it will be here soon enough.

XICS : Xbox Integraphics (ICS) Video Driver...would allow you to use either TV or VGA, would be the first bios to do this on Xbox.

They're over a month late from the most signficant hype. At this point, there's no rush at all to put it out. All the damage has been done, and the additional damage of over-hype is going to be a huge problem (did you see Xecuter's recent pull-back post, where he said that maybe no one will care about the new feature except for him? Wow, talk about a reversal...).

Don't get me wrong , I love Xecuter products but ....

They 'advertise' stuff and never hit 'delivery' targets ,

The forums are full of 'arse kissers' and 'fanboys',

They slag off other teams for underhanded tactics and 'bullshit' news items ( such as the 12 lol days of xmas ) and then run similar 'bullshit' promo campaigns like the current comps which are basically pt1-kiss are arse for us and pt2-do our work for us.

Like I said , I am a massive fan of the products and personally believe the X3 is currently the best product out there but FFS the rest of it is not as impressive as the products !!!

Flame away fanboys coz I KNOW you are going to coz none of you seems to be able to face the reality !

Its not that we can't face the reality, it's just that we do know that Xecuter are the best products. Therefore we support them. And they wouldn't be the best if they didn't take the time to make sure their products worked perfectly. So, yes everyone is sad that the new BIOS hasn't been released yet, but we all know it will be worth the wait.
