Ok I just installed 2 Xecuter 2.6ce in 2 diff. Xboxs. the first one went smoth everything is working. Now the second one sometimes works some times doesnt. when the chip is disabled the video is fine. As soon as I enable the chip I get the cromwell bios updater screen however it looks like I am looking through a fence at it I cant explain it any better. I have tried resoldering everything. it worked when I first turned it on shut it off just to make sure everything worked mind you I did nothing except push the button on the front of the xbox and then went right back to being messed up. I have tried putting the chip in the xbox I know works and it works fine in that box. I tried exchanging the dip switches from the one I know works and same thing as soon as I hooked it up It worked shut down turned back on video screwed again. Oh and btw if I leave the xbox on for a min or 2 it goes to an almost blank screen.

Check for solder splashes in the 2nd Xbox - it may be shorting out the AV output. Have you tried flashing the BIOS to something else yet?

Martin

I will check the motherboard for any shorts as for flashing it I never got to that point. one thing though if it was shorting out the video why does it work when with the chip off?

Because if the bridge/short was on the LPC, then since the video for the FlashBIOS comes from here you would notice it.

As I said, try flashing a 'normal' BIOS and see what happens.
