ANSWERED New CR questions

Hi,

I'm alittle rusty since i've noticed CR Lite is out of the game.
I'm used to install Rev C and CR Lite till now.

I have one Fat with CB 5771 and one Trinity.
From what I see its best i'll get Rev C still for the FAT and Proto v2 for the Slim, is that so ?
One thing i'm not sure about the Proto v2, Can I work it will with Nand-X or I need JR for it?

Sorry for the newbie question.

The CR Rev. C will work fine on the phat and the Slim Proto V2 will work great on the slim.

You should also get a JRP to read/write to the NAND on both consoles.

I keep reading that to use the Proto v2 i'll need JR, right ?
I prefer not to buy JR unless i have to.

The NAND-X is fine.

You will need the NAND-X CR Programming Cable to program the CR Rev. C for your phat console.

The Slim Proto V2 is already programmed.

The Slim Proto is a new chip.

It uses a custom XSVF which gives us the best boot times on our slim consoles.

P.S, I've got now (yeah big news ) another Falcon with 16202 firmware, so most probably RGH2.
Should I stick to Rev C or RJTAG ? (I see in the forum is dicontinued)

if you can get hold of R-jtag that will be the best for now, but its discontinued and a replacement is on the way
