There's a lot riding on Bungie with their huge legacy to live up when it comes to the world of first person sci-fi shooters. Luckily, the Washington based collective appear to have a lot to be confident about in a new video showing off some of the features of Destiny. The footage, which we've embedded below, has plenty of juicy gameplay information straight from the developer's mouths, including how you'll be able to look at yourself or any player character in the game and have some sort of idea of how they got to that point or got that weapon. There's also mention of how Destiny will utilise a three-weapon system, featuring primary weapons as your general all-rounders, a secondary for more specialist blasting and a heavy slot for causing "unrealistically large amounts of damage over a very small window of time."
Also shown off in the video are some of the "Supers" - special powers that look very similar to Mass Effect's biotic powers - including a smart-bomb style Nova-Bomb attack and the smashing Fist of Havok which sees you flying into the air before coming down fist first to destroy a large crowd. Of course, remember that all of this will be in an always-online world where you'll be able to team up with other players if you want to.
