New halo 2 maps

i don't have xbox live but my friend has downloaded 2 maps off it for free so could i just copy the maps over or do i have to do other things as well

nope just put them on your hdd and edit the menu map

he could, just get into ftp on the box that has the maps and browse to E:/TDATA/4d530064/ Copy everything in there to the same folder on your xbox and it should work fine. (I had to do this for system link a while ago because the other person didn't have the 1.1 update and 1.0 doesn't work system link with 1.1)

Im not 100% sure but I heard somewhere that all downloadable content is signed to your xbox... however copying over the maps and editing the mainmenu.map works fine.

I want to get the new maps off of Xbox live with my modded box. (X 2.3 Lite with switch, 1.0 box) Avalaunch, EvoX with Xboxdash renamed to accommodate for Avalaunch boot order.

I have 2 month free trial to Xbox Live and want to purchase the Killtacullar pack as well. I have a retail Halo 2 disc. What do I do from here? I just want to get the update and Maps for use on Xbconnect, as I don't plan on using Xbox Live afterwards.
