New Hard Drive Install

What do I need to do in order to replace the stock drive with a larger drive? I have successfully flashed the chip and currently running XMBC as a dash on the stock drive.

unlock old one
remove old
replace with new one
set it up with a installer(Auto installer deluxe 3 or slayer
play

Question: Was I supposed to PATCH THE BIOS TO SET THE LBA48 PARTITION SETTINGS?

Because I didn't do this. Will this be a problem when I goto install a large hard drive?

use x2 config manager to setup x2 ini file for lba48 then ftp it to the E:/ folder of xbox
120G and less use F gets all
120 and bigger F gets 127g G gets the rest

While I appreciate your response, I can't help but question it. This is a quote right off the sticky by team xecuter. "YOU HAVE TO PATCH THE BIOS TO SET THE LBA48 PARTITION SETTINGS - THIS IS NOT DONE WITH THE INI FILE"

X2 config maker looks like it patches the bios for LBA48 support PRIOR to flashing and not within the ini file.

Can someone please clarify this?

yes sorry use x2 confin maker to patch bios as well as ini
