New HDD with Origional files not booting when X3 is off

Ive installed a 120gig HDD and the X3 with the Latest X3BOIS. Ive backed up the origional Xbox HDD and copied the files across tho the new drive along with the lates version if EolutionX. With the X3 on, it boots fine into X3ConfLive then onto EvoX and all is well. When I turn off the X3 hoping it will boot into the origional MS dashboard, it gives me an error in green text and in multiple languages. But when I go into EvoX and select 'MS dashboard' It works. I then tried swaping to the origional drive and boot with the X3 off and it works fine. Could someone please enlighten me as to what is happening. Am I missing a hidden file or something or the oribional MS bios not liking the format of my new drive? .

Is there no error number in the top corner? If so, then why didn't you mention it!

dude, It is probably cos ur hard drive is unlocked, lock it and it should work

Easy way to copy mass files to xbox hdd? FTP? Ethernet?

I just bought a samsung 250 gb hard drive off new egg. Restored a 20 gig image to it, then formatted in xbox so that it will see the entire drive etc etc..

I was able to copy over a few small games, a couple full games that work fine... but when doing a big selection, nothing works...everything crashes, freezes etc...

No matter what i do, i can not find a stable explorer in either xp or win 7 to copy mass amounts over to.

Xport 2.12 -Crashes all the time as soon as i try to move groups of files, or hell just randomly crashes trying to open partition 3. Cant trust this program at all to move big folders.

Xplorer Extreme 2 - Wont even see partition 3 in win 7 or xp . In any compatibility mode. (it will see partition 2 but there is nothin in it , have tried to extract partition 3 then restore, but when i back up, there is nothing in the folder.

FATXplorer. - WOrks awesome for small files. Soon as a file is to big, it crashes and or errors out saying the file is to big or there is no more space left on my hard drive (which this is plenty left)


Le fluffie - You can only restore/extract not move to and from.


Any suggestions? =\ Is there a way to ftp/Ethernet into my 360 to copy everything over?
