my pc it connect to a router in the other room? so that have something to do with it? is there any way to connect to the pc not the router?
okay so your pc connects to a router and you have plugged your xbox into your router! that's fine
is your router configured to use DHCP? you will be able to tell - when you enable network flashing in Flashbios it will either say dhcp failed or assign you an ip address. Let me know what happens at this point please. if it gives you an ip address let me know it.

well my internet is connect to a rounter in the other room my xbox is connect to my pc in this room...should connect it to the router. i dont know if my router is configured to use dhcp. it say dhcp failed falling back to 192.168.0.99. do you think i didn't connect the xbox the the pc right. or do i need to connect to the router. i dont know the ip address to my pc?
well is network crossover cable the same as an ethernet cable? is that the same thing? plus there are two slot on my pc where if that is the the same cable it fits?
does this have to do with connect to xbox live? cuz i cant go buy a wireless internet for the xbox to connect to my router?
no, there are two types of network cable:
one for connecting to a hub/switch/router
and one for connection pc directly to xbox - called a crossover cable
sounds to me the easiest way would be to connect your xbox to your router. it will then get an ip address via dhcp and will simplify the whole process.

so after i get this crossover cable ? do i need to connect directly to the router or can i connect to the pc? plus after al that go to the web site it tell me?
i made it to the xcueter flashbios screen ? do i take the file i have and use it ex x3_1959.rar or do i unzip first?

I need help, I have had my modded box for about 6months. It is a 1.0 edition xbox with an x3 modchip in it and just recently it said that I don't have the flash bios. I tried to follow the directions to make one but it just never works. the box works totally fine without the mod chip enabled but I relally want to have it back. What do I do?!!!
