New Microsoft warranty related to the Ring of Death...

Hi...I got the feared Ring of Death about 30 min ago...I tried all the plug, unplug stuff and nothing worked. I checked on the code and it gave me 0102 which it's when the 360 does not know what the problem is (bad soldering, something loose, etc). The system was working fine...never dropped and I also have the Nyko Intercooler. It started freezing up while playing and then after restarting it...I got the lights.

Now...I was wondering about this 3 year warranty Microsoft has now. My 360 was manufactured on 2006 and bought on Feb 2007. It was modded for me so I'm not sure about which drive it is...(the one with the holes on the tray).

Now...does anyone know if this new warranty covers opened and modded 360's? and is there a way to get the original firmware back again?

I would really appreciate your feedback...
Thanks.

if the warr seal is broke. they wont fix it under warr.there are some that say they sent theres in anyway and m$ did fix it.you would need to get the orig firmware back on before you send it in (for sure)
