new motherboard - frag problem

so i've had this xbox lying around for a while, but due to modding experiments gone wrong it needed a new motherboard. so last week i bought one off ebay, and tonight when i put it in and turned it on, the led just flashes green twice, then starts flashing green and red. what am i missing or doing wrong? anyone....

If it's a brand new mobo and the VGA cables are plugged in you should get a picture on the TV telling you error 6 (hdd cannot unlock, that is unless you unlocked your hdd before you fried the old mobo)

If you don't get that, then there's a problem with the mobo still.

If you get the error 6 code b/c of a new mobo, then what do you do next to fix the problem?
