ok so before I go on to buy my 360. I just have a few questions about flashing the drive.

1. I found this "tool"for xbox which you install in front of the hard drive and you are able to plug it in the SATA in the computer. here's a link it would be great if you guys could tell me it this would work of not. http://www.modchipstore.com/Xeno-Top-Gear-Xbox-360-Blaster-Clone-16431.html

2. this is actually my last question/concern @ the moment. after flashing the disc will I be able to play LIVE [online] games with the backup disc?

thanks for all your help =]

if you get a older dvd drive then that could help you flash.
i think you are going to have a hard time finding a drive it will work on at this time.i dont think it will work on the v79 or the benq drives.
i would not buy it before you know what dvd drive you get in your console

Ok thanks, but I think I gave up on that. Its kind of pointless and UNnessesary and a waste of $50.

here I got another question.

3. I just watched the tut video and could not see/hear what else was being plugged in between the xbox and the pc. The SATA cables were being connected between the PC and the xbox dvd drive. and something else. can anyone tell me what it was?

best thing u can do is go and by a second hand console cheaper and more then likly a older release which will be easier for u or just buy a premodified console

you can play backups online but you never know when microsoft will sneak up on you with an update and ban you, just play cautiously and check this site as often as you can. for now with the new 1.2c fw you can play online without a problem.
