FIXED New Noob Where is frimware installed??

Hello everyone, New here I bought a used xbox 360 slim shinny back with the chrome edges, The xbox is stuck trying to install a update, it tries to install and gets to like 2% started, then this code pops up, 3F4B-4099-B680-0F00-C000-0034. I googled the code, there are some fixes that didn't work for, I tried to install update on a USB flash drive, and on a dvd, both didn't work.. My question is if I flashed it would it fix it?? I can't even get into the dashboard. Any help would be great, Thanks P/S I also notice that when I open then close the dvd drive door, the update will try to install, everytime I close the dvd drive door, Strange right?

That's the thing, not sure what is the exact dashboard was, are dashboard and updates the samething? I tried 4 different update, SystemUpdate_14719_USB, SystemUpdate_16547_USB, systemupdate12413 systemupdate12416, SystemUpdate12611, I'm sorry it was 5 of them..

Its working, I would have never figure this out, if it wasn't for you. I was going to give up on it, here's was happen I unzipped and copy the file you uploaded for me on a usb flash drive, last night I had 4 usb flash drives with different updates on all of them, but one of the flash drives I formatted it to Fat32 but never copy anything to it, so I has a usb with nothing on it, and one usb with your upload on it, and the xbox started up normally?? I think my hard drive was dead and the update had not where to install.. I don't know.. But it didn't go to the error code screen it just booted to xbox dashboard, no update needed.. Crazy man... Thanks a lot Game-over, P/S have you ever played the online game AVA? when I use to play that game, I was always getting killed by someone named ( Game-over ) it would funny if it was you, this was like a year or so ago, haven't played in awhile..lol

Must have been someone else. I've never played AVA. But I am always down to jump on there and smoke ya anyway.
