I have just installed a new m28 and i still cant get GOW3 to boot. all i see is dirty disk error. I want to be sure that i have flashed it correctly.

As the drive is stock, all ive done so far is swap boards from my old drive.

Now i want to flash it to LT2.0, so do i 1st flash to Samsung_Post_13141 or Samsung_Pre_13141? My dashboard is already latest.

Once ive done the 13141 flash, i can then flash to LT.20.

Is that correct? Can anyone confirm the m28 drive can actually read XDG3 backups? ive read sme comments about it not being able too.

Depends on your dashboard, either way you can jump to 2.0, it is said to take all steps to protect your system from flags though if your system dashboard is pre 13141 then you want to go back to stock, update the dhasboard fully to 13599, then dump again and reflash to 2.0.

You say your system is fully updated so assuming 13599, in that case you want POST, post meaning after and pre meaning before ;).

If the drive is bran new, I have had drive come and the laser was way off, might be worth grabbing a multi meter and doing a quick pot tweak.

sammys work fine with xgd3 backups

however, they are typically pretty weak lasered so if you are confident that your burn is good, you probably need to POT tweak

Well I went and bought a multimeter did the pot tweak and went as low as 3.26 koms and yet again Dirty Disk. I just cannot get anything else. I give up now, console to the fact my new m28 dnt like XDG3 backups. Has anyone got any further ideas. For interest, my black ops original also gives dirty disk error. Other backups work :S

sounds like AP2.5 errors

nevermind, i read your post again

it seems you have a sammy, which has nothing to do with AP2.5 checks

my guess is now back to weak laser

Just to report back i fixed it and now all backups work, incuding GOW3 and Rage. How did i do it? Simple i replaced the pos drive that is the Samsung m28 :p I stuck a Benq in there and all good. I can only assume my drive for whatever reason was one of the few that cant read XDG3 format like ms blogged a while back and were replacing with 250gb slims.. anyhoo thanks all for you help :)
