Hi,

I've seen conflicting answers on this subject. I understand that using a new SD card is a matter of copying the files from the previous sd card, but should I include the Nintendo Folder so I don't have to reinstall my games or can that cause issues?

You can to be safe, but I do not believe the games are installed in the Nintendo folder.

On original firmware 7.0.1.
- If you boot up your switch without micro sd card and download and install patch or eshop game.
It will be install into your internal storage.

- If you boot up your switch with micro sd card and download and install patch or eshop game.
It will be install into your micro sd under \Nintendo\Content folder.

So you can copy over this folder to the new micro sd card.

You can check if the game or patch is installed on your micro sd or internal storage by going to System Settings >> Data Management >> Manage Software and check each title.

Okay that's what I thought. I plan on putting the new one in after fresh reformat and then booting into OFW (I don't care about fuses at this point) so it officially creates the Nintendo folder and to ensure it accepts the new sd card compatibility-wise. Then I'll copy and paste/overwrite with my current data. Thanks.
