Ok, I bought an xbox360 slim 2011 and NEVER opened it. I just had my phat 360 RROD happen. So I broke out this unit, I have NOT updated it to the newest dashboard. The DVD drive is a DG-16D4s FWVer: 1071 can I flash this with the LT plus 3.0 and still update date it to the new dashboard? Or do I pull the key off and then unlock it then flash it? If I do anything will I get screwed because the update will reset and lock the drive? Any help will be great:cool2:

Update the dashboard version first.
The SPI on the drive is already locked which means you will need to unlock it if you want to flash LT firmware or you can purchase an unlocked PCB.
Start by using SlimKey to get dummy.bin once you have updated the dashboard version on the console.
