Hello,

I have just read about the new Slim QSB on XB-Scene.

As I already ordered the "original" slim QSB, will the new one just be an addon to adjust cable lengths easily or will it be a replacement?

Thanks,

The new is for the CPU_RST the other one is for "easier" soldering for 3v and CPU_PLL (i think)

Thanks. Do you think I should try it first with the conventional method and if boot times suck just get one of those add-on boards? Or shouldn't I even try to make the slim work without the add-on thingy?

I will be trying it myself with the old QSB + coiling. If I can't get it to work I'll be picking up the QSB. Unless you don't trust yourself to solder the wires I don't see why not to try it.

If you have already done you box then try it without it. My slim boots anywhere from 1 second to 30 seconds every time so I'm not going to bother. Dont fix something thats not broken, right? :cool2: Now some guys I'm reading are booting in 1+ min every time. I'd say look in to it.
