LITEON DG-16D2S New to flashing the Liteon 02510C

Hey

I just ordered the CK3 Mini and the CK3 Probe v3.

I wanted to know if it is possible to flash it through my normal sata controller, i have previously flash my benq drive on the same controller.

So my general question is, if a drive work on a sata controller does that mean that the other drives works too?

no harm in trying, if the drive is recognised read you key and have a go.

No, not all drives will work with the same SATA connection and specially if they are from Slim ones. For the 225 you're advised to get USB Pro even though bear in mind that most probably it will have a winbond chipset and will require either Kamikazie hack or a replacement unlocked PCB. If you get lucky you might end witha MIXC chipset instead and then can use the sputnik hack.

m8 get yourself a usb pro will make the job so simple for doing the slims also get the replacement PCB as there very simple to use and makes doing slims a hell of a lot easier

if you have slim liteon 0225 you need the X360USB PRO and the probe 3 is for fat liteon only
do you have slim or fat console?

you dont really need the x360usb pro and the probe 3 is perfect
you shouldnt have any problem using your sata
if it worked before it will work again

okay, thanks. I still have the BenQ drive from my old dead xbox360 and i am gonna flash it with 0800 firmware to see if it still works before i try with the new liteon drive.

I have 2 diffent sata controller on my mobo and i cant remember whether i usede the Gigabyte SATA2 Controller or the Intel P55 Express controller (i think it is this one).

just plug it in and test
dont forget to restart- most sata controllers will recognize your drive only after restart

The only way nowdays to check if your Sata Controller is compatible is to plug in and see if it works follow the jungleflasher tutorial and you will have your drive flashed in no time. If jungleflasher is slow for you, you can try dos flash and l-o-eras method. It's much quicker.

A lot of SATA ports don't work with the DG-16D2S. Only way to find out is to try it.

I just got my kit yesterday and hooked it up to my pc with the Intel P55 controller. It worked, the only issue that i got was that i need to do this when i writed to the drive.
Turn OFF Drive... Start writing... wait 2 second... Turn On Drive.
