new to JTAG. any tutorials?

okay so i have a zephyr board and its on the original dashboard. i would rather not buy the part needed to make the USB device since i have all of the stuff to make the printer port one. i've done a lot of research and still am having a hard time putting all of the pieces together.
can anyone point me in the right direction?

im confused about the yellow switching diode. how is that supposed to be soldered? and is this tutorial uptodate?

you are using an old tut

download JTAG tool by Coolshrimp

the app actually contains great pics of where to solder

honestly, read a couple older tutorials to get the idea of what you are doing

but its a process like this
1. read nand several times (make sure to get matches)
2. flash xell to obtain cpu key
3. create modded nand with cpu key plus original nand
4. flash modded nand to console

that of course, leaves out the solder involved, but you were given an LPT diagram my Smkface and the JTAG wiring is in JTAG tool
