New to modding

Hello Everyone

first time Switch modder here, looking at modding my switch to play games, money has gotten a bit tight around my house hold and unfortunately making it hard to do what i love after work, which is game. So im currently looking into modding my Nintendo switch.

VERY OVERWHELMED right now on all this info im trying to read. maybe someone can answer a few questions i have so far

I see there is the SX OS and SX Pro. If i just get the SX OS (because i dont want to wait 3-5 weeks for the Pro to be delivered to London Ontario) if my son or i let the unit power off what do i have todo to get the system back up and operational?

.NSP files have to be converted to work on SX OS?



I have the jig printed and have determined my switch is not patched so i can mod it. Im just looking at all this information that is on this forum going WOW what should i do and how should i go about doing it

The SX Pro is a great option to have a small and portable method of injecting a payload. Every time you want to boot CFW, you will need a method of injecting a payload. That’s what makes the dongle so convenient. NSP Files can be installed with SX OS no need to convert unless you intend to emulate a cartridge by mounting an XCI file. Don’t feel overwhelmed, this is literally the easiest hack ever. Just make an emuNAND.

i see people talking about exporting a key and attachingit or something to the file to be able to play the nsp files on your switch is that something that had to be done or just load the files onto the sd card and go from there

Your NSPs and XCIs should all work fine out of the box. No need for extra effort with sig patches and all that.

Well the companies that sell SX OS dont make it easy to buy, i have a visa card and no one is accepting visa only mastercards.. what a piss off.. have tried a canadian company and a US company both the same.. dont wanna put my card in anymore sites as i dont know now whats gunna happen to it

You can get a prepaid card that one of the sites you are trying to order from accepts. I can vouch for modchipsdirect. I have purchased a ton from them.

I’ve bought 2 pros from them so far. I wish they had the boxes but no real complaints, shipping was fast and the price was good.
