New to the modding scene need little help please

Hi im thinking of buying a XBOX 360 BLASTER but was wondering is that all that is needed to play burnt games on the the xbox 360 do i just burn the games on my dvd burner and am able to play them or do i need something else ? please help me as i have no idea about this many thanks in advance

The blaster doesnt allow you to play games at all. It is simply a device that you install onto your 360, and after you install it, you dont need to open your case anymore to flash the firmware of your drive. It can also be used to create backups, IF you have a samsung drive AND you use Xtreme (not iXtreme) firmware.

i have a lite-on drive would that work or do i need to go out and buy a samsung drive or hitachi if so which one is the best to get and what model thanks

oh i think i get it now i need to open the xbox up and see what drive i have and just update the firmware and then i should be able to back the games up to the xbox thanks heaps

i think you have most of it .this dont sound right "then i should be able to back the games up to the xbox" im not sure what you think you can do.
all a hacked firmware lets you do is play backed up games.
