Hi guys, I want to flash my xbox's dvd drive but I have 0 knowledge about my xbox except for the fact that it's a 250 gb slim. Anyone care to help me out ? Thanks

This when u create a thread and ask for someone om here vip to flash it if u in usa I can do it what xbox u have slim or phat/ it will be cheaper for one of us to do it instead of buying the equipment to do it:cool2:

Download jungleflasher and read the PDF in the documentation folder. Everything u need to know will be in there.
Like said above, read the jungle flasher tut. But any flashing of a slim is probably not gonna be up your alley as everything requires at least a trace cut, drilling, or PCB replacement. Best bet is to send it off.
I would suggest finding someone other then john mathews to do the flashing. It is the safest bet. Just my advice. He has come along way, but still has way to many issues of his own, as far as xbox modding, for me to recommend him to do any service on an xbox for anyone. No offense to him, just ask anyone on this site.
Do you even know what console you have, as some drives are not flashable, with out buying replacement PCBs which are getting harder to find. You best bet would be the phat liteon LTU2 conversion which works on all slim consoles, but requires you to buy a phat liteon drive, gut it, and rebuild your pcb. I would offer to do it, as I am in oregon, but my flashing tools got stolen around christmas. Also depending on the console, you will need to use RGH to get the info you need to create the new firmware, which the parts for that are getting harder to find in the US everyday.
I would try sending a PM to Ubergeek, as he is also in California, if memory serves, and he helped develop all of these mods, so you know the job will be done right the first time. Nofeloniesyet, BrockThunderJam, and Jsinger are also good options, but arent as close to you.

I am a complete idiot, I have seen enough/replied to enough of your threads to know better. I could link to a couple of them to prove my point. There is a reason that all the people who know what they are doing always drop your name as a joke in the scene. I said you have come along way, but there is no way in hell I would ever let you work on one of my consoles. And if I am such an Idiot, why did Maester Rowen, the lead developer of Aurora, and FSD, personally ask me to be a moderator on RMS? Oh, wait, it was because he saw that I knew more about Xbox modding, and was helping all of the people Swizzy couldnt/didnt have time for over there. I have more of an impact on the scene then you ever will, between helping with software development, helping people with hardware issues, etc. What have you done, other then ask a bunch of novice questions, and act like you know what you are doing. Just ask anyone who has been on this site for a while, just because your post count is high doesnt mean sh*t. Now in your defense, I havnt been on this site in a while, as alot of stuff has come up in my actual life, but in my professional opinion, and the professional opinion of most of the people on this site who have been here for a while, you arent that good, which has been pointed out in multiple threads. You are either giving bad advice, or asking stupid questions, that have been answered. If anyone wants to verify this, all they have to do is go back through your posts, and they can see for themselves.
If it wasnt for me, there wouldnt be any aurora compatible emulators, as it was me that asked/found all the stuff for Swizzy and Maester Rowen to make that possible. It was I who tested it, It was I who released it, It was I who wrote the app that generates the propper game genie/ pro action replay cheat files for them. I have had a lot of my ideas included in aurora, even if I dont get credit for it. What have you done for the scene, other then cry like a little bitch when ever some one says you arent that good? Oh wait, that is right. Nothing. Shut the f**k up. and take the criticism like a man. Stop acting like a 3 year old.

and maybe you can go suck a d**k, as I said, I gave you credit and said you are better then you were, but consistantly, for a VIP member, have had more issues then any installer I have ever seen. Hell my ex's 8 year old successfully modded his own console, with less problems then you have had. When I would trust a little kid with my console over you, that tells me that you arent that good. Maybe someone else will jump in here, and verify what I have been saying. i am done with this conversation, if you dont like my opinion, that is your problem, but the fact is, i am not the only member of the site that has the same opinion. And I will always be on this site, I have been supporting TX since 2002, even if I didnt create my account until a couple of years ago. I used to make money in high school installing their products. I am sure I have done more consoles then you have in your life, not all xboxes.
