Hi,

Yesterday I bought a modded 360 from a friend and I have some questions. The mod was done professionally and my friends games were burned by someone else for him as well. I have been reading a bunch of forums but still have some questions.

1. Is there anyway I can find out how exactly it was modded?
2. What is the easiest way to back up my games, and is there anyway to do it with a Mac?
3. Are backup games more prone to scratching or breaking than official games?
4. The 360 has never been on Live, is there anything I can do to prevent it from getting banned?
5. Do I need to update the firmware for the mod or anything as new software comes out?
6. Do the intercoolers that you can buy really work, and are they necessary?
7. Is 1080i or 720p better or does it depend on game?
8. On the back of my TV there is one yellow RCA cord from the Xbox 360 that doesn't seem to go in any ports, if I am using a HDTV am I only supposed to use 3 of the cables or all 6?

Sorry for all the questions, and thanks in advance for some answers.

6. I have an Intercooler from NYKO and I guess it works. I couldn't tell you how noisy it is because i did the 12v fan mod so my x360 sounds like a vacuum.
7. 1080i is the best thing out right now.
8. You need to plug in all the cords except the yellow one. ( the HighDef cables are red, blue, green, and your audio are red and white...unless you use and optical cable and you get 5.1DD surround sound.

1. it will be a firmware mod read this ... http://www.360mods.net/Downloads/details/id=61.html

2. there are a number of ways all depends if you have a Samsung drive or a Hitachi Drive also read the tutorial

3. If you use good media no... recomended media is verbatims

4. yes don't go on live..... nobody has been banned for using Xboxlive up to now this will or more likley happen in the future but we don't know when. Just by having a modded 360 you are breaking the rules of your terms of service between you and microsoft. the risk is there it's up to you and you alone.

5. it depends what firmware has already been flashed you should ask your seller.... but if for the time being your having no problems with DVD's originals and backups etc there is no need to unless a critical update comes out to counter act future events.

6. imo they are not needed as they tend to be really loud and don't add better cooling but one idea is to replace the thermal compound with a decent one like artic silver 5..... there are plenty of tutorial for this just use Google but don't jump in as you need to know what you are doing as you could damage the motherboard and CPU and GPU.

7. imho 720p is a good all rounder but yes as sccrbrandon4788 stated 1080i is a better resolution.

8. As above post

Hope this helps
