The case really looks great.

I hope those leds will be off-switchable in the final product. The pre-production pictures show too many flashy colors in the front. For my taste that is. I prefer just a simple brushed aluminum look with the only color coming from the LCD screen. Maybe the buttons could be of the same color as the LCD.

Can't wait to see the real thing. And some price figures too.

And a slimline version for single HDD setup would be excellent. Maybe sometime in the future..

Ok after reading through all this post I would have to agree that if this is in fact going to be primarily for "Entertainment Console" , media center, purposes my suggestion would be that as for buttons I would try to do everything with a controller (not xbox) and only have the LCD for everything else. I also think that a small 1" x 1" window on the side be included just for viewing purposes. Oh and it would be great to add additional Fans for cooling especially if adding room for another HDD. Also to maybe come out with a version that has a complete replacement for the DVD drive as well for better media reading.... I will STFU now.

If it is made from aluminium - there is a solution to the "any colour you like provided it is brushed aluminium".

Anodization.

But, this is pure speculation, and will depend on if it IS aluminium (and not just aluminium look injection molded plastic), and th grade of aluminium. These are early days, but hopefully TeamXecuter will allow some user input into the design.

It's stuff like this that makes my wife say "What are you buying now?"

LOL Ye! Right now every seem like ppl like to buy it even though they dont have any certain facts of its features.

Aviously pretty mutch we all are expecting following features, but only THE Team knows:
Power On/off by remote?
Several Hard Drive connections?
PRISE? No sense to buy a new case for price you get almost a new XBOX!
Time line?

Team Xexuter just noting that those where not question to you. :)
I wont bother even ask about those ...
edit: for now anyway.

Only the time will tell!

Can't wait to see what the finished product will look like. And what addons we can insert into it. In my opinion I might not bother to buy that case because the life span for xbox is basically over with the release of xbox 2 coming out soon so, I'll just be waiting for xbox 2 modchips and cases. And yes I know its a long wait for some people, but for me no cause I'm not going around and showing off my xbox to people so no need for me to mod like crazy.

Looks like another awesome product!

I'm clueless about how standard DVD drives work via the IDE cable (such as eject), but I'll suggest this anyway. How about an adaptor circuit for standard DVD drives? Some little board that takes the yellow cable into the adaptor, and the IDE cable into the adaptor, and then another IDE cable from the adaptor to the drive? Then we could replace the DVD drive with any other DVD drive.

Also, please add strong but quiet fan for the case because of extra HD's (most likely 7200 rpm drives), as I'm sure you will.

One way to reduce size could be to make a case for notebook drives instead of desktop drives. With the above DVD drive adaptor, it might allow for thin DVD drives. Heck, if you sold the replacement case with a notebook DVD drive and leave space for notebook HDD's, that'd definitely make for a smaller/shorter case.

And please expose the digital audio ports in the back! And add component video/SVideo/composite video connectors in the back, rather than having to use the standard AV connector (could be done by extending the rear of the case a bit and making an adaptor to the AV connector to separate output connectors to the back panel all inside the case).

holy crap that thing is awesome looking. anyway, i had an idea for it two nights ago that hopefully isn't completely ridiculous. would it be possible to have some kind of controller board (that would likely plug into the x3 expansion connector) that could be set to detect a signal from the modchip indicating that it was booting an x3 bios (or perhaps any other properly modified non-m$ bios) before it would allow the use of the other two hds. that way if someone put their stock hd in a designated slot and their large hds in the other two, then it could recognize when they are booting the m$ bios and only start up the stock hd, that way anybody who hasn't hacked their firmware doesn't have to worry about getting banned from live.

i think it's of no use to start requesting "this feature" and "that gimmick" at this stage. they're probably in inception phase, analyzing the requirements and _all_ possibilities. besides, i think teamx knows what they're doing ;)
