how you would do that with multiple hard drives and not making it super wide i have no idea
About wide: I hope you make it 16.9" (16 15/16") wide to fit standard stackable hifi/home cinema equipment (and also wide round feet in crome would be cool). This will also add space inside making more room for air/cooling... making it less noisy (or so I hope ;) )
Else: incredible cool idea!

there wont be any flashy colors - do i have to quote the news post again ?
Go ahead. Not a word on colors there.

If you dont want conversation based on the sample pictures, then dont publish them or ban the subject, that simple.

My deepest apologies for expressing my opinions on the sample pictures. You are the Gods of absolute universal design. I will want just the kind of case team xecuter tell me to want.

yo guys ive seen some posts requesting slim dvd drives and fans n stuff. I just posted to remind you that team xecuter is makin an xbox case not another xbox.
..but xbox is quite unstackable between other standard size hifi equipment.

However, the height is only a matter of taste and hdd capacity. I guess most prefer the tall, hdd roomy one.

i think it's of no use to start requesting "this feature" and "that gimmick" at this stage. they're probably in inception phase, analyzing the requirements and _all_ possibilities. besides, i think teamx knows what they're doing ;)
I think this is the perfect time to make suggestions. No team is in a vacuum. They cater to the customer, so customers make suggestions. Why ask for something AFTER they've already finished the design?? Remember, this isn't a piece of software that can be upgraded later.

You wouldn't like to have a nice slim DVD drive in there allowing for a single story building rather than a skyscraper?

Dude, it's just a suggestion. It's not like they have to do it. Not that my idea is unique, but if no one voiced their ideas, they might never have thought about it themselves.

woo woo, and don't forget to add a toaster in tha case, oh perhaps, does the so "wanted" monitorized vagina connector will be in tha case? :D ... sincerely guys... stop demanding this or that. if xecuter wanted some suggestions, he was asking. dont ya think? :)
I wish they could make a toaster XBox. :D

I'm not sure where the "demand" is, but I'm sure they would appreciate any suggestions. I guess you'd buy anything, even if it was a pile of crap, as long as it had X3 stamped on it (not that I'm suggesting their stuff is crap :D).

In my mind, preannouncing a project just begs suggestions, because it's the best time to hear others ideas, BEFORE they commit to a design, make something nobody wants, or something that's missing, and then have no sales.

And please expose the digital audio ports in the back! And add component video/SVideo/composite video connectors in the back, rather than having to use the standard AV connector (could be done by extending the rear of the case a bit and making an adaptor to the AV connector to separate output connectors to the back panel all inside the case).
I agree with this completely...most of us using our box as a media center prefer the versatility of hookups...Spillage from X-S has done some very extensive work with adding outputs to the box. I realize you can always just buy a better cable, but it is nice to have the outputs there so you can use whatever A/V setup you want as well as whatever cables you want since everybody is on a different budget and has different equipment, it just makes things more versatile. Anyways, just another suggestion from me, feel free to tell me to STFU if people disagree with me. One of my favorite things about Team Xecuter is that they listen to their users and the users are the ones who buy the products, so they are one of the few teams that are actually doing what is in the best interest of the customer! Anyways, once again, I realize this is still prelim and the design will probably be much different when it is released, just my two cents.

um Bruce tht feature of a slim dvd drive is jus stupid... no offense. If they include tht sh*t they might as well include three hds to go with it. My point is, if ur gonna request features for the case request sh*t about dimming the front panel lights, real aluminum, or somethin. Jus think about how much tht dvd drive would cost btw. Also, I dont think that any drive escpecially a slim dvd drive can ever read xbox software/games modded or not. Only a selective few can do so if im not mistaken.

No offence taken. Naturally, you're entitled to your opinion.

Somehow I thought "slim dvd..." was referring just to a shorter case in overall. Not the actual dvd drive unit. So only a communication breakdown from my part.

ya i thought u were talkin about a slim dvd drive not a slim xbox. nyways...
tht was a gud idea, but think of how wide it would have to be and take in consideration the heat factor, with everything crammed in there. I think Microsoft did a good job at compacting the xbox as much as possible considering the amount of components that it has

also, deductive thinking after one of Xecuter's earlier replies in this topic implies that they're integrating support for multiple hdds (so this is their answer to xtender ;) )

all i can say is YAY! :D

Yeah, I personally would like my xbox small. I dont have a need for multiple hdd's. I can understand how some appreciate this option though.

A major weakness a small form factor brings is the difficulty of cooling the unit efficiently and quietly. I wonder what size of fans the present design allows to be installed. I hope you can fit at least an 80mm or larger fan.

Price is also an interesting topic. Aluminum can look very appealing but it can also be quite expensive.

personally i'd be happy to spend a few more $$ to get a quality metal case, instead of a plastic one...

i have to say that i believe this case is appealing to the "modding" community, most who wouldnt mind to have 3 harddrives in their xbox or the option. Also having space for that many harddrives doesnt automatically mean that it will be a huge case, it could mean that most of the plastic bull in the current xbox will just be replaced with more efficient mounting methods.

It's funny how some are glorifying a case they havent seen yet :)

This is an older design and there may be some physical mistakes or anomolies - don't bother telling us - we already know.
He was saying don't bother them about mistakes or anomolies, not suggestions or requests. :D

Can't wait any longer

I can't wait anymore for a new case and I want more space for extra drives. So, I am just going to throw it in with the rest if the stuff :D
