... would it be possible to have some kind of controller board (that would likely plug into the x3 expansion connector) that could be set to detect a signal from the modchip indicating that it was booting an x3 bios (or perhaps any other properly modified non-m$ bios) before it would allow the use of the other two hds. that way if someone put their stock hd in a designated slot and their large hds in the other two, then it could recognize when they are booting the m$ bios and only start up the stock hd, that way anybody who hasn't hacked their firmware doesn't have to worry about getting banned from live.
