newb at xbox 360

hi guys this is my first post in 360mods im planing to get a 360 after 20th so what should i look for?? to get a hackable one?? thank for any help

ok so i do some reading and find out that i have a Intel® 945P but in the "[Xbox 360] Textbook's Firmware Flashing Tutorial" i didnt find anything about the 945p chipset so what do i need to do if i have a intel 945p?? (NOT 945 PL)

If you are just now getting a 360, it will most likely have a Hitachi v0078FK or a Samsung MS28. A Hitachi v0078FK should flash just fine with your current setup. You would need to purchase a VIA PCI Sata card if you get a Samsung MS28. There is an extremely rare chance you get the new BenQ VAD6038 drive, appearing in recent systems. There are only 4 people over at Xbox-Scene who have seen this drive. If you get this drive, it would not be flashable at the moment (it's like brand new, you probably won't get it).
