Newb question for an ashamed 2.6ce user

hi guys, ive tryed to read a bunch on that nice forum found tons of good advise .. but nothing seem to do it...

First i installed the chip .. that went great using the solderless kit/
secondly i tested the thign by booting on bank 1 .. hurray the loader work ..

third its where problem started for me .. i flashed the bank 1 of the chip with a wrong bios .. now light flash when trying to boot ... i the told me no problem bank 2 would allow me to solve the problem .

i turn the xbox off switch to bank 2 then press power .. the buton lit.. but the screen stay black and nothign happen.

did i blow my chip ?? or am i doing something wrong ...

i knwo this must have been asked thousand time but i cant seem to get a clear answer in the forum.

if you could pls direct me to a good thread or even try helpign on this mater i would greatly apreciate

ok not good ... not so good

After another 20 min reading and understanding, its now the point where i am too

1: the first bank slot is FRAG
2: the second bank slot .. doesnt boot

now .. is there a way to solve that or i need to buy an hardware program thing to reprogram the first bank on my PC ??

if you have a v1.6 xbox and flashbios 3.0.3 is on bank 2 then it will not work yes a program will fix it

I see DJ thx .... what kind of programmer module should i buy for a 2.6 CE ship ? ive been tryign to find out on divineo but havent been lucky.

im ordeing the programmer, but curently the bank 2 of my ship isnt booting to anythign its staying to a blank screen with a green lit butom, those that mean my install is bad, the flashbios is corrupted or the memory bank itself is corrupted its quite the last thing i h avent figured out lol

if you have a v1.6 xbox bank 2 will not work as flashbios 3.0.3 will not work with v1.6 xboxs but works with all the rest
as if you had a v1.6b xbox flashbios 3.0.1 will not work with it

It means the opposite. It means your install is good. You may be able to get bank 2 to boot... Wait for the light to stop flashing, push eject, wait for the light to stop flashing and push eject again. Keep doing this for a while. Some people have gotten flashbios 3.03 to work on a 1.6 using this method.

ok what do you recommand me to use with my 1.6box ? the 3.0.3
dont work so what others bios manager is availible to me

flashbios 3.0.1 will let you flash your chip but you still need a programer to flash chip with x2 5035 v16 plus bios then flash the second bank with flashbios 3.0.1

ok i received the programer quick delivery from divineo 3 day here in quebec hehe.
now .. if you still have some time, what exactly you mean by x2 5035 v16 plus lol

and is the parallel cable straight for the programer to fit on pc ?

x2 5035 v16 plus is the bios you have to run on your chip for it to play backups run dash and apps you can find it at #xbins

ok i ran and checked all i could and i am ready for config .. exept i lack the paralel cable lol. also i saw in the x2 guide that they puted flash bios on the first 512k and X2 on the second 512. Is this simply and old settup for precedent version, so should i put X2 on the first slot and then FB 3.0.1 on second bank like you recomanded me.

will not make diffrence just put x2 bios 512 insize on frist or second bank then put two flashbios on the other

thats godly help, will do exactly that.. once i get a cable ... will give feedback once done. im confident it will work .. unless chip defective but in my mind there a 0.001% chance of that.Until then ill spread more reputation and ill keep reading on these forum .. so much interesting information

ok .... im stupid lol ... i had the programmer siting for 3 day and me grumbling about cable .. but i think drinking 2 -12 beer might have helped me .. i pluged the thing directly into my parralel port ..
so far i thought it was a genious idea, until i started getting Bad Cable error with the X2 v2.3, ok is it needed to plug it througth a cable or can i plug it directly and how could i try to fix that error if theres a way

well i answered myself on that one ive tryed flashign more and more until it worked and verification passed
last question ive been surfing in Xbins FTP sharing and found flashbios 3.0.3 i think i looked in the old folder but didnt see anyhting looking like 3.0.1 like DJ advised me .. any info on where it could be located
