hi i just bought a chip not long ago its a xecuter 3 and i updated it to the newest version of the x3 bios . but i want to install evolution x on my xbox so i follow the tutorial to make a iso of evolution x and it works but then when i burn it on a cd-rw or dvd-r and i start up my xbox it shows me that it cant read the disc. i usually use cd-rw and dvd-r from the compagny Verbatim. should i try cd-rw from other compagnies like Maxell or Memorex and if this i not the problem then what should i do to make it work. thanks alot for your help

Have you tried to ftp to the xbox and add the files that way? It is a LOT easier!!

I agree with junkman2 its a hell of a lot easier and faster to fxp to your xbox than use cd/dvd.

I had this problem when I tried to burn Slayer 2.6 and it was because I was copying the disc incorrectly (d**khead I know!). I was using NERO and using the "MAKE A DATA DISK" option instead of "BURN AN IMAGE TO DISK" option.

When I "BURNED AND IMAGE TO DISK" it worked fine.

Its only easy if he as a nic card and a cat5 cable.

He might be on a usb modem - and no network.

In which case, your best way it to download an ISO file of slayers, burn the image. That way the disc will be burned in the correct mode.

You can find the files in the usual places.

Depending on what make of Xbox DVD you have - will depend on what make and type of discs you can use.

As a rule - samsung dvds will read cd's ok - if you have the thompson or philips - you might need to burn dvds as these drives are known to have problems with cd's
